In this introductory composting class, Brittany will make composting science accessible and easy to understand. Topics include:
The Science of Composting- Learn about the balance of browns (carbon) and greens (nitrogen) for effective composting.
- Discover why properly made compost shouldn’t smell bad.
- Explore common backyard or food "waste" items and their ideal composting ratios.
- Learn about compost tea and other techniques to enhance your compost.
- Understand how compost improves soil structure, promoting healthier plants.
