🔷 Can the bushes fit in my SUV or car?
No — you’ll need a truck or trailer to transport the bushes.
The bushes are large, mature, and require space when moving.
🔷 Are the bushes pre-dug?
No — the bushes will be dug fresh once you confirm your arrival with our farm caretaker.
After you place your order, we’ll email you pickup instructions and coordinate the timing.
🔷 Can I plant into a pot or planter?
These are large, mature bushes.
We strongly recommend planting directly into the ground for long-term health and fruit production.
A pot would need to be very large (minimum 25+ gallon) and would require more frequent watering and care.
🔷 Do I need to buy 2 or more bushes to get fruit?
Duke is self-pollinating — you only need one bush to produce fruit.
However, planting multiple bushes may slightly increase your yield and berry size due to extra cross-pollination.
🔷 Are these bushes safe to transplant close to harvest?
Very safe— these are mature, well-established blueberry bushes and are quite resilient! 🌿
Like most fruit trees, blueberries can handle transplanting very well — even in warmer weather.
While some minor transplant shock is possible, it's not serious if you follow a few simple steps:
✅ Water deeply and often for the first few weeks
✅ Add mulch to keep the roots cool and moist
✅ If possible, provide light shade during the hottest part of the day for the first 1–2 weeks
Even if they temporarily slow down, you’ll still get blueberries this season.
